Ministry Updates
Updated: (December 7th, 2008)
+ Two more Chinese students have
put their faith in Christ. After meeting
at the first International Coffee House,
Nate and a student named Seth, have
been meeting with Fanglin and Shen,
explaining the Good News of Christ,
and answering their questions as they
have been reading through their
Chinese bibles we gave them. After the
last meeting, we asked them what
they thought about all we have been
talking about. Both said they
believed in Christ and said they desired
to be in relationship with Him. Praise
God for our two new brothers in Christ.
+ We will be leading a summer project
team to Merida, Venezuela this
summer. We will be taking a team of
staff and students of 10 to 15 to the
University of the Andes in Merida,
Venezuela, to add laboreres to the
Campus Crusade group there called
"Vida Estudiantil." We will be working on
the campus, sharing our faith and
helping the students be built up in their
faith. Apart of the vision of the Campus
Ministry is to take the Gospel to every
student in every corner of the world.
We are praying for a movement of
Christ-centered disciples to be raised
up in Merida, Venezuela to reach their
nation and the world for Christ.
| Prayer Requests Updated: (December 7th, 2008)
+ Pray for Sunan, Shen, Fanglin, the
three new Chinese believers. Pray
that they would grow in the Lord and
that God would protect them as they
seek to learn more about Christ.
+ Pray for the Winter Conference. Pray
that over 100 students from the U of I
and our distance campuses attend.
Pray that God uses it to bring people to
himself and call students into deeper
relationship and service for Him.
+ Pray for the Spring Semester. Pray
that God gives our staff team and
student leaders wisdome and
discernment about the next steps in
what we are trusting God for. Pray for
the building up of the believers God has
entrusted us with, and for the sending
out of these students to the work God
has called them to here on campus and
around the world this summer.
+ Pray for Venezuela. We will be
leading the summer project team to
Merida, Venezuela this summer. Pray
that God raises up a full team of
students, pray for us and the other
staff couple, that we would be lead well
and be sensitive to the Spirit as we
plan and prepare. Pray also for the the
Venezuelan students we will talk to
about Christ, that their hearts would be
soft to receive the Gospel and that God
would raise up Venezuelan believers to
lead the movement in Merida. Pray with
us for a
movement of Christ-centered
disciples to be raised up in Merida,
Venezuela to reach their nation and the
world for Christ.
